Is having groups of games in a database useful?

As some of you I maintain a database of links for Adventure games. Currently this database not only has entries for games but also series / groups of games (like the Broken Sword games for instance). I’d appreciate people’s comments on whether grouping games is worthwhile if they’re all named in a similar fashion - for example if all the Nancy Drew games are named “Nancy Drew NNN: title” for instance. Thanks!

If you were deciding whether to have groups at all and it turned out all the ones you'd group were similarly named, I might say don't bother. But if you've already got groups then yes, definitely include groups of games whose titles would already indicate their grouping. If I were specifically browsing groups I'd think eg Broken Sword an odd omission.

I like to see series or groups of games. For example: Post Mortem and Still Life. Not everyone knows that Still Life was a sequel to Post Mortem.

Thanks for the feedback Phlebas and Ghostlady! There are oddities with naming like Riven is a sequel to Myst. One could name it "Myst 2:Riven" but then people will expect to find it in an index under R.
