Sinking Island by B. Sokal Creator of Syberia

Post by Ghostlady »

What would you think about playing a game in a huge hotel on a tropical island in the middle of a hurricane? One person is dead! Murdered! and there are many suspects. You are a detective and you find many clues, take lots of pictures, get fingerprints and interrogate everyone through the whole game. No puzzles, all interrogation. You put all the pieces together in a big database. You can compare fingerprints found on something to an actual fingerprint that you took and run it though the database to see if it is a match. The suspects move from room to room and to find them you call them up in the character database to find out where they are located. You can play the game as an adventure or timed. I chose adventure.

At first I didn't think I would like this game style due to no puzzles but now I am so into the story that I am hooked.

It is a game I've had on my shelf forever. Specs are for Windows XP but it plays beautiful on Windows 10. You can find it on Steam. It recommends XP but I've had no problems with it on Windows 10. I did not buy if from Steam.

Played it quite a while ago, GL. Can't recall if I played it on XP or Windows 7, but like you I really enjoyed it.

I always wanted to play this but never did... was it timed?

You can play as an adventure (not timed) or as timed. You have a choice.
