Yes, I am still sad to have lost such a good internet friend. We "met" on the old TAC forums when she was trying to escape Carfax through the sewers in Dracula The Last Sanctuary.

So, I still don't have confirmation, but it appears that TLJ is one of those older games that won't install on Windows 10 or Windows 8.1 from the original disks. I would check it out, but one of my disks blew up in my old DVD drive a very long time ago! Everyone who has played using the mod over at GB is using the download from GOG which is on sale for $3.99 right now.

I have been thinking about the GOG version also and thinking that maybe it’s the better route to go so I don’t mess up my Windows 10 machine. Can you capture screenshots using GOG?

I believe you can. You may have to use the keyboard for Win Key and Print Screen. It depends on the game.

The sale on TLJ at GOG is over in about 20 hours.

I downloaded the game from GOG and installed it. Downloaded the Mod and moved the files to the TLJ install folder. Downloaded the FMV and got that set up and running. Ran about 5 minutes through the game. It was beautiful and I was excited. Shut everything down and went to bed. Got up this morning and and oh my goodness. Edge browser took minutes to load. When I went into any of my folders to look at a file, even just a right click, it took 5 minutes. I couldn't open any large programs like my Dreamweaver. The Mod files were huge and I figured that game was eating up all my space. I uninstalled the game and got rid of the files and sure enough everything was back to normal. So, maybe sometime in the future when I get a new computer, I'll try it again with my current computer after moving all my files off.

It sure does sound like you just didn't have enough computer to run the game with the mod. Bummer! I can't remember if this is an OEM computer, but could you install a nice speedy little 1 TB SSD in there, put Windows 10 on it and do a dual boot? What processor does it have because the graphics card isn't awful for what you need it to do.

I am not that tech savvy Drac. I am always leery doing anything to that computer since the whole website is on it. I am contemplating a new computer in the future.

Well, when you're ready, I have a great place which will build a custom computer for you for roughly what you could build it for yourself. I think there are at least 15 or 16 people who have gotten computers built with them and they are all really satisfied. Biggest selling point is the customer service. It's a smaller local-type company and you deal with Mike in like 15 minutes, not HP or Dell in weeks!

Sorry missed this.

I installed it on Windows 10 and used the GOG version.

Also make sure you use the latest version of ResidulVM as the stable version doesnt detect it.

The mod is about 1.4GB, but the FMV pack is 3.1GB so you need to download at least 4.5gb
