Doing The Pop In

Well here I am putting my two cents worth in. Trust me, you don't want to know what's been going on in my end.

Still working on getting out to the country. Two jobs down and 4 to go. We did a stupid thing yesterday, we had the guy come in to paint the bathtub in 91 degree heat. Thank goodness for AC, I couldn't live without it, unless we had a nice cool swimming pool. I just hope we're not having to fight off bears for a spot. We should have waited till it was cooler, maybe in fall so we could open the windows to get the smell out of the house. But it didn't last too long and we were able to sleep in the bedrooms.

My poor roses didn't do very well this year, the rotten Japanese beetle ate them all. My poor 19 year old Delaney tried to give it's all but the bugs won over in the end. I sprayed them but they just laughed at me. My hubby bought me 3 new roses this year, I could have killed him he paid $30 each for them. The squirrels ate those ones. So when we get out into the country we've decided to plant wild flowers instead. I love roses but they're too much trouble unless you know what you are doing

I'm still stuck in the house with this anxiety, I keep telling myself it's going to change once we move. I'm getting a Kubota so I can drive into the woods and set up bird feeders and houses. We were supposed to be gone now but thank you covid, you should come by more often.

It's good to see some old faces back. Happy Birthday to everyone I missed.

Still working on the Lost Talisman of RaJa, my heart is not into it like it used to be. The world has changed too much.

Sure have been thinking about you with all this COVID stuff going on and hoping you and hubby were well. Our horrid Japenese beetles have subsided the last couple of years. We put up beetle traps in the year when we first started getting them about 8 years ago. Nasty smelly things. But the chickens love them! And they seem to be able to spot the bright green beetles from at least 10'! We just get a few in the pool now. I couldn't do all the things we do outside without the pool! We put up 50 quarts of home-made sauerkraut Saturday and I grabbed a beer and headed for the pool the minute we were done!

I also wondered if all the COVID stuff was affecting your anxiety too. It's bad enough for those of us who aren't afflicted to begin with and I hoped you were doing OK.

Sorry your move has been postponed Starlite but I hope it won't be long now. And yes plant wild flowers - they will look fantastic and be much less work for you outside.

Thank you for the welcomes everyone. Glad you like Cooper LadyK, I feel kind of bad posting it after hearing about Pooka.

I had a rough night last night. I didn't sleep till 4am and even then it was like being unconscious.

We are hoping to get to the country next year. We should start looking when the weather is warmer, maybe April. That is going to be quite the exciting day when we are sitting on deck having tea and seeing nothing but trees. We have only 4 more jobs to go to get this place ready to sell. Thankfully they're not big jobs. So keep your fingers crossed for me next year. Good to be back btw. Glad to see some old faces, hope we see them more often. Take care everyone
