What Adventure Game Are You Playing
Re: What Adventure Game Are You Playing
That does sound pretty disappointing.

How disappointing since I love all the Sherlocks. I haven't played any of the newer ones.

I am playing Riddle of the Sphinx (Remastered). It will be my 3rd play through of the game, and I'm looking forward to seeing the new and improved version.
I've also got Keepsake loaded up on my new computer. I was happy to see that my 15 year old DVD installed smoothly onto my new rig and the game started up seamlessly.

Assuming you're running Windows 10, most games will work just fine. There are just some that it blocks because of certain DRMs on the disk. A Vampyre Story is one... but I was able to get it tweaked to play on new systems from GOG.

I played that a long time ago. I remember it being a pretty decent game and I enjoyed it.

I just installed 15 Days. It came out in 2010. Installed beautifully on my Windows 10 laptop. I needed the DVD to play, but I found a no DVD patch that works beautifully. I played only a few minutes. Opening cut scene was outstanding. If you are not familiar, the game is about a group of art thieves. Voice acting is excellent.

15 Days is a fun game to play, I enjoyed the clear backgrounds and it was fun to play as a team and it is a break from playing the game as one. It is not the best of best games out there but still, I really enjoyed playing this game and I have it tagged as replayable. I hope you enjoy playing it JKEerie, let us know as you progress thought the game on your thoughts of the game.

I'm leading a playthrough of Keepsake over at AG. This is my first time playing it and, despite quite a bit of to-ing and fro-ing, I'm enjoying it very much so far.

I love Keepsake... in spite of all the to-ing and fro-ing!

I really enjoyed Keepsake as well.
Re: What Adventure Game Are You Playing
Me too - will have to see if I can find Keepsake on Steam or GOG to put on my wishlist. I am playing The Vanishing of Ethan Carter at the moment. Just started and that dreadful murder has freaked me out a bit. I am wondering whether to proceed!
Re: What Adventure Game Are You Playing
I liked Keepsake a lot - I have a feeling I got it as a prize here! There were a few infuriating aspects (puzzles where you had to go back and forth across multiple rooms for each attempt at a solution, and one puzzle that was outright broken and I don't know of anyone but me who solved it without a walkthrough!) but in general the puzzles were good (quite unusual to find so many lovely abstract puzzles in a third-person game, I think), I liked the story and it was SO PRETTY.
(Come to think of it I seem to remember it was so pretty it killed my graphics card. But the computer was still under warranty so no real harm done!)

Val, I wrote a brief review of The Vanishing of Ethan Carter and it's posted here at Gameboomers. I highly recommend continuing with the game!
