You certainly have been through the mill, Stella! I wish you steady recovery from all this.

Yellow is my favorite color, so daffodils always brighten my days. I'm also happy to see that my forsythias are starting to show their colors.

Oh, Stella, I knew you had had problems but didnt realise just how serious it all was - You have really been through a very bad time this Winter, and I am sure you will be glad to see light at the end of the tunnel now Spring is here. I also hope that you get steadily better and start to put on some weight.

I will never ever forget my time at your wonderful house with your menagerie of animals - it was one of the highlights of my life - we had such wonderful times - all us Game Nuts members lol! I wish I could find the group photo that was taken way back then.

Sorry to hear of your health problems Stella - hope you are making steady improvement. Take each day one day at a time and you will soon be your old self again.
Drac you make me feel positively tired just reading your list of things you have done and have still to do. Must admit I seem to be getting lazier each day since retiring. Like you RB I thoroughly dislike housekeeping but it certainly gets easier when there is only one person living in the place!!

Our summer is still continuing - April is suppose to bring the first of the winter rains, but so far the days are glorious with no rain in sight for the next week at least. Hope it comes soon and that we get a good winter rain otherwise we are looking at water restrictions again come summer. So I think I am actually looking forward to some cooler weather and a change of wardrobe. Warm sweaters, socks and scarves and a duvet back on the bed. :)

Oh Stella, I'm so sorry, I must apologize, I thought the dentist was incompetent. I do hope you get better soon, the main thing is to try to stay positive and please keep us posted. Hang in there, we're all thinking of you, and know that if you need a shoulder we're all here anytime

Today I'm off to the doctor for meds and to get my foot looked at. This time when he tells me to come back next week I'm doing it. Sometimes I'm my own worst enemy. Will keep you posted :flower:

Today, I'm grabbing some ibuprofin and heading out to plant 75 strawberry plants.

Today or rather this evening, I am having a lovely glass of red stuff and plan to relax in front of the television for the evening. New car on the horizon but butterflies hovering as the prospect of driving a little bitty TOY car instead of that thumping big engine/hood in front of me looms ahead. No meds needed so far - here's hoping they wont be. :)
Just been watching a delayed viewing of the last day of the golf - that youngster was amazing! What a star.

My first car was a VW Beetle, so little bitty cars don't bother me. :D

Except for a few small things, the contractor is finished with my dining room, hall and bedroom, so tomorrow I will start putting my household back together. I've been culling the stuff I had to move for the work to be done and moving the bookcases and other furniture pieces around to give the place an airier feel. It'll probably take me another week to get things the way I want them, and then I'll feel comfortable settling into my new old home.

Well I just woke up from my after dinner nap, well I got out of bed not sure if I'm awake yet. It's funny I thought it was morning, hubby woke me, nope he says, it's night, time for coffee. The doctor's appointment went great, afterwards I went to the drugstore with hubby to take our meds in. I seen this girl driving a tryke, I'd love to have one of those, I'm sure I could drive it. I thought good for you girl.

The doctor put another cotton swab of Chinese herbs on my ankle and on the lump. He's sending me for an X-Ray to see if there might be a break there or a cyst. Either way it looks like it's going to have to be cut out, hopefully outpatient. When the doctor put the swab on my lump, hubby puts my sock on like a madman and rolls the whole thing up in a ball. So I had to get a bandaid from the nurse to keep the swab on.

On the plus side the anxiety doesn't seem so bad going out and the vertigo is gone. I've been doing vertigo neck exercises which seemed to help. It's getting dark here now and it looks like the birds are going to their nests to sleep. I'm going to surf for some tags till 9pm that's when we get ready to watch our shows.

I warned hubby about taking me any place where spending money is a no no. We went to a bakery to buy some buns for our hamburgers and of course I always go overboard. I bought a dozen egg buns and a dozen hot dog buns, there goes $10.00, am I crazy or is that a lot of buns. We can freeze what we don't use so it's not a total waste. He makes me laugh, he hates when I do it but he won't jump in and stop me. He thinks it's cute because I don't get out to shop, so he just lets me go wild. I should take a picture of them, there's yellow and there's whatever this is, but they are soooo good. Well I'm off for now. I hope everyone enjoys the rest of their day/night :flower:

Stella, I hope that you heal up soon...

My new car is a Hyundai i10 Automatic. It really is a dinky little car but lots of room inside. Handles beautifully and am more than happy with it. My old car was a Honda Ballard so I miss the luxury of some things, like auto door locks etc., but otherwise it has most of the bells and whistles. Plus it is geared for wifi, etc., so now can listen to my podcasts without needing something plugged into the cigarette lighter. :)

I looked it up and that is a very cute little car - it doesn't look ALL that itty bitty though. Now the tiny little Smart car from Germany is definitely itty bitty. It was so strange to see these little things on the Autobahn with big trucks and regular cars.

Today I'm heading down to Longmeadow to work our annual Spring Fling fundraiser. Last year the weather was great and we had over 700 people. It's going to be beautiful today too - about 75°F. I'm heading the crew at the gate taking admissions. It's going to be a very, very long day and I'm starting out with 800mg ibuprofin to keep my poor back going!

I've been doing quite a bit of caregiving these days. Mom has now developed autoimmune hemolytic anemia, so there have been multiple doctor and hospital visits and now the continued care at home. Unfortunately the steroid Mom is on to treat it has a lot of side effects that are causing issues.
