I got the pre-order deal from GOG at last minute - best value, nice extras and DRM-free!
Of course I'll want to play Witcher 1 first, and I'm not sure when I'll have time or whether I'll need a new computer before I can even get 2 to run. So it might be a while. Looking forward to it though!

I finally pulled myself out of the game about 12:30 am last night!

Oh, most definitely play Witcher 1 first. I think my first play-through took about 3 months. I'm glad I waited for the boxed version. I could have gotten it from Amazon the on Tuesday when it was released, but I waited and ordered it on Tuesday and got it on Thursday.

And is it every bit as good as you hoped it would be, Drac?

I am not going to buy until I finish the first one, especially now that I see Walmart has it for $20. the enhanced one yet. I might break down for Alice, but only cause I did finish the first one, finally!

I think Fable The Lost Chapters is considered the 2nd one, but I might be wrong.

Fable the Lost Chapters was the PC release with extra content and was generally well received, though I never managed to get it to run. Fable II was only for consoles but III is back on PC and looking quite promising.

Ah, that was the deal. It didn't run all that well for me on my old XP computer even with the upgraded video card I put in it. But it ran great on the computer I built.

It ran great for me too, just my hard drive kept dying, I have my saves and I am trying to finish that boring bit at the academy so I can move on. I really hate that part of the game. So what did we computer people miss on Fable II, should I maybe get it for console and play it first. I like that game because you can check for help along the way, kind of like a guided tour. I think I will go there before going back into Morrowind.
