Developer: Rusty Lake
I played on iPad
This game has 2 chapters. The first one was free to play, and the second one was available through an in-app purchase.
All of these Rusty Lake Cube Escape games are darkly weird. Not weirdly dark, because the screens are light and bright. This one is no exception.
Aside from one difficult puzzle puzzle with obscure clues and another time trying to find an item for which I never found a clue, I was able to solve it on my own.
I would rate it a 4.5/5. I am a huge Rusty Lake fangirl though.

So, do you just randomly try the "tools" on the right side to solve the puzzle?
When life gives you lemons, make lemonade. When life gives you tomatoes, make Bloody Marys.
Re: Cube Escape Paradox (2018)
No, I mostly knew what to do with them.
Re: Cube Escape Paradox (2018)
The game includes a link to a related movie, which I just watched. It is remarkable how well they translated the game scenes. Here are some screenshots from it. Anybody who’s ever played a Rusty Lake game will be familiar. My only quibble is they got the wound on the wrong side of Detective Vandermeer’s forehead
I wonder if the moth wallpaper is commercially available.

I am getting more intrigued by these mobile games.

I've started playing this game and so far I have to say it's really rather good! This is the first Rusty Lake game I've tried.
Re: Cube Escape Paradox (2018)
I was looking at these not too long ago. I think you can play the first one for free on their website,

Re: Cube Escape Paradox (2018)
Most of the Cube Escape games are free on i-whatever. They usually only take 15-30 minutes to play.
