I also gave up my BigFish membership a few years back for all the same reasons. I've recently tried two BigFish games and could not complete either of them. I am having more fun playing the classic adventure games.
Last night I dreamed I went to Manderley again...

I quit Big Fish a long time ago because of my desire to never do another hidden object puzzle. That is not my idea of a good time, and finding Big Fish games without hidden object puzzles is like looking for a bow in a pile of crap not knowing if it’s a weapon or a ribbon.

From what I've been hearing, BFG has really gone downhill with their customer service after they laid off a bunch of people last November.

I still buy the occasional iPad BigFish game only if it is on sale and after I've tried it out. These are inevitably older games, so I find them similar to what I used to play in 2016 or so.

Yes me too! I only now play the older BF games and then through Steam or Gog and not through BF itself.

Just loved your description Jen!! :D

I still have my Big Fish account and like to play a casual game between full adventures or when I only want to play a bit. I try to find games that have good puzzles to make up for the hidden objects. Still, I agree that so many of the games are so repetitive. I always hope for a good Mystery Case File to come along...and of course I really love the Lost Lands series.

I loved the first few Mystery Case Files...

I loved those too. I haven't even gotten the last two because there were so many negative comments.

MCF were always a must buy for me, and the CE as well. I loved those big multipuzzle scenes.

I'm playing Saga of Nine Worlds: The Stags on my iPad. It is a BigFish iOS game. It was a weekly deal, so I bought it on sale and it was a good buy. It is moderately challenging, but a nice spin on Nordic myth.

I just finished a really good free iOS game on my iPad. It is Escape the Home Town (2) by Shenzehn Zhonglian Hudong
I've played all the games that developer has released, and the challenge level is just right for me. The game is named Escape the Home Town, but there is a 2 on the title page. I never found a first one. There are '6 days' to play, each representing different portals with multiple scenes and you find clues to move onto the next day. You get a set number of hints, and can get more by watching ads, but I didn't need to. The puzzles were fair and all varied. Lots of fun and addictive, I recommend it for those who like escape games.

Started 'New York Mysteries: The Outbreak last evening. Haven't got far yet but, although little bits ring a bell that I have played it before, I am finding it enjoyable. Finished a Lost Lands before and decided to go for another Five-BN game while downloading Ankh Anniversary Edition. Think those early Five-BN games were/are really great!
