Lost Lands and the Four Horsemen

Post by Val »

This game I played last year but put into my "Games to Play Again" folder. I hauled it back into play recently and have once again realised why it was there in the first place!
One of the best casual games I have played is still my opinion. A wonderful game! Long, beautiful ambience and sound and a good story line are just some of the delights.

I am not a journalist nor someone who can write a great review. Just take my word for it! If you have not played this game yet, you don't know what you are missing.
Now to tackle the bonus game! :)

I love the Lost Lands series. All the games are terrific with excellent production value. I also like the Darkness and Flame series.

I'm kind of in the mood for a good casual game! I get so sick of the insipid and repetitive "You've done good" stuff that I quite playing them for awhile. This one sound pretty good!

I’ve been in the mood for a casual game also. I bought one for Halloween and it was just horrible. So coming from a good recommendation like this I’m going to check it out.

I almost wrote to say that someone is using my name but then realised the date of my original post. 2016!! Hey JK that made me go and check up on the games and I found the first one and am now replaying it. I vaguely remember the Four Horseman so will work my way up and get the rest.

Thanks for that 'wake up' jolt this morning which did more to zap me awake than my first sip of coffee!! :D

Heh. It's usually just newbies who resurrect old threads. I think I played some of the Lost Lands games, but I'd have to check my list at BF to be sure.

Edit: I played the Four Horsemen in 2017 but none of the others. I don't remember much about it.

Ghostlady, what did you get at Halloween that was so bad?

I forget which one I played first, but I was so impressed with it, I downloaded all the precursors and anything that has been released since. I think I have a couple I haven't played yet. I'm savoring them...like a fine wine. That's how much I love this series.

I must have just played the trial version because it is not in my order history. The name eludes me probably because I didn't care for it.

OK, so winner, winner, chicken dinner! Started playing The Four Horsemen and I love it. Just gaming, no insipid comments over and over and over. Just what I needed!

Make sure you play Lost Lands Cursed Gold. I think that may have been the first one I played. The cut scenes alone were worth the price of admission.

The entire series started in 2014. There are 7 games total:
1. Lost Lands Dark Overlord (2014)
2. Lost Lands The Four Horsemen (2015)
3. Lost Lands Cursed Gold (2015)
4. Lost Lands The Wanderer (2016)
5. Lost Lands Ice Spell (2017)
6. Lost Lands Mistakes of the Past (2018)
7. Lost Lands Redemption (2020)

I think I started with Cursed Gold, but because I was so behind in my gameplay, I likely didn't play it until either 2017 or 2018. I went back and downloaded all the precursors. I've since downloaded the last two...likely in the years they were released. I have Ice Spell, Mistakes of the Past, and Redemption yet to play. In fact, with this revival, since I just finished MCF Crossfade (which I do not recommend, BTW), I'll play Lost Lands Ice Spell.

I have not been disappointed in any of the games in this series, although Cursed Gold and Four Horsemen were my favorites thus far.
