Sounds to me like the MCF series needs to be retired.

I didn't realise there were so many MCF games! I gave up on one a couple of years ago, because the machine I was playing on was so slow, and I think it was around number twelve...

Just finished Lost Lands: Ice Spell. Very enjoyable (albeit a bit of a sad ending). I recommend this one as part of the series.
