There is a great long thread about it on GB which I have not yet had time to read through - Have you had a look at it first, Drac?
Edit: OMG - I have now read all the postings at GB and I can just feel the excitement coming at me through my monitor from the people who have already "experienced" this game. It is a humongous 1.2 GB and the minimum specs are so high that obviously some people are having problems on older PCs, but it does sound like a wonderful wonderful game.
Could this be the moment when I buy my first CE, Stella??
Hey, that's a thought......... Where is Stella these days?

I am waiting with fingers and toes crossed to see if the new Ravenhurst will be made for Macs. I'm not getting my hope up until then, but I loved the previous games.
I’m more confused than a chameleon in a bagful of Skittles.

I went straight off to find out more. I am getting it but I am a bit worried about the warnings. I'm not too squeamish but I don't like horror movies - maybe I am faint hearted?

I've just finished Escape from Ravenhearst. Some of the content is yucky Skeeter but as for scarey - it's so OTT it's funny! but the game is great! I've just tried the demo for Resurrection New Mexico - I found that scarier & lots of bargains to be had on BF today so look soon!

I've just started playing it... I don't mind creepy and a little scary...

I am playing the new Ravenhearst. It's long (a good thing) and weird (also a good thing) and challenging in comparison to most of these games. There is a twist on the usual find-it scenes which I'm not sure I like any better--they still are not fun, but at least there are not very many of them.
I have a newish boffo gaming laptop, and I had to update my video card drivers to get the game to work, but now it plays like a dream. You should definitely try the demo first to see if it'll run on your computer.
I'm having a blast with it overall. I have gotten my money's worth out of it, timewise, even at the CE price.

I heard the puzzles were really hard...is this true?
Re: What Casual Games Are You Playing Right Now, Continued
They were hard in comparison to most of the BFG offerings but not hard in comparison to regular adventure games. I never had to look at the walkthrough for the puzzles, just for where to find some items when I got sick of tromping all over the place. Some of the puzzles were unique, which is always nice, and I don't remember doing any stupid puzzles, like putting together torn-up papers, that are in so many other games.
I have since learned that you really don't get much in the way of extras with the collector's edition. Mostly more find-its, blech. It's probably worth waiting for the regular edition.

I'm playing Ravenhearst, love it, and agree with Jen about the game being a little tougher than the usual Big Fish games. The maternity ward puzzles really worked my little brain over!
