I'm interested in playing Half Life 2, but I'm absolute garbage
at anything that requires quick reflexes because of nerve
damage. So I'd need cheats in order to play it.
I found some cheats at cheatcc
but it says "server only" for some of the cheats.
The same at gamefaqs -- it says "server side only" for the god mode cheat.
What does "server side only" mean. Would I be able to use the
cheat if I'm only going to be playing the single player version?
Steam, Single Player, and Cheats
Re: Steam, Single Player, and Cheats
Not sure if this will answer your question, but someone asked a similar question on the Steam forums...

When life gives you lemons, make lemonade. When life gives you tomatoes, make Bloody Marys.
Re: Steam, Single Player, and Cheats
Well now I'm thoroughly confused. How does it apply to games played as single player?
Are you both client and server when you play single player?
Are you both client and server when you play single player?
Re: Steam, Single Player, and Cheats
Cheats should work fine for single player. I played Half Life 2 with them.

Re: Steam, Single Player, and Cheats
Let us know how it works, middletoe. I've never used cheats with Steam.
