Divine Divinity and levelling up

When does max mana increase? I'm playing a mage, and tried adding attribute points to Intelligence. The max mana didn't increase when I added the attribute points. There's one or two things I need to check on but I have the feeling I'm missing something blindingly obvious here.

OK I'll ask the same question on Boomers - I should have got used to feeling stupid by now.

Don't laugh but the problem I was having was that the Stats window was positioned such that the bottom of it (including the confirm changes button) was under the main menu at the base of the game screen. So I couldn't see or click the button to apply my changes.

Moving the Stats window out solved my problem!

I'm quite enjoying DD at the moment, there's quite a bit of story kicking around in there (even if it's a very normal storyline.)

I really must get back into the game - I was getting so frustrated with not leveling up! Must try your suggestion.
