A-GOG about Baldur's Gate

Post by Kickaha »

As my first foray into GOG (Good Old Games) I've got "Baldur's Gate" from them. Their recent misguided marketing stunt apart I'm pretty impressed by what they offer. I'm now happily replaying this old favourite which will keep me busy for a while!

Baldur's Gate is fine - but they've got Planescape:Torment! One of the best- (and most-) written games ever, finally widely available again and runnable on current hardware!

I'm not quite ready to forgive GOG yet, but I'm sure I'll get there. Their DRM free policy is reason enough all by itself!

Indeed! And there was a free game for everyone who had an account before the relaunch, too!

I noticed that - I haven't downloaded mine yet - don't know anything about it!

I have Baldurs Gate also, I think Angelfire sent it to me ages ago when I bought some other games from her. I have soooo many games yet to play.

Maybe next year you will be able to take some time out for yourself, Hawka, and get back to some serious gaming???

I am still playing Alice, but the holidays got in the way, plus the company that flits in and out of the house whenever they please. After New Years is looking better and better.

I downloaded that free game and immediately uninstalled it. Way too retro for me and running in DOS besides.
