Divinity: Original Sin 2
Divinity: Original Sin 2
Just managed to complete a play through of this impressive game. Besides the battles there is quite a bit of puzzle solving that wouldn’t be out of place in an Adventure game. I did rely on walkthroughs a bit to get me through. A strong story with plenty of side quests.
Re: Divinity: Original Sin 2
I think I have Divinity 2 sitting in my Steam Library, but I've never downloaded it. Might be time to give it a try... this sounds good!

I played over 100 hours so (for me) value for money!
Re: Divinity: Original Sin 2
I wish more of these classic RPGs would be ported to iPad. I only played the first Divinity and remember it fondly. The iPad selection is mainly JRPGs, which I don’t really enjoy. Except Chrono Trigger, which has my heart. I so loved that game. Peter, it’s been ported to iPad. You should give it a go.
Re: Divinity: Original Sin 2
Thanks Jen! I’d better give that a go!
Re: Divinity: Original Sin 2
Hello Jen I’m trying to understand the nature of the gameplay in Chrono Trigger. I’m no use at fast reflexes or hand eye coordination so I avoid actiony games, and go for turn based RPGs and Adventure games. I see Chrono Trigger has racing mini games etc in it.
Re: Divinity: Original Sin 2
I’m bad at those things, too, and I finished the game. It’s been so many years that I don’t remember the details, but I sort of remember, and maybe I’m wrong, that you have to do the racing parts but you don’t have to win. I do remember the combat being turn-based.
For me, all games have some annoying parts, and the less annoyed I get, the better I like the game. And I really liked Chrono Trigger. I fell in love with the story and characters.
My favorite RPGs, for taste-matching purposes, have been Chrono Trigger, Knights of the Old Republic, Anachronox (now that had a lot of annoying parts; I don’t even know why I liked so much), The Bard’s Tale, Divine Divinity, Fallout, and Planescape Torment (although I never was able to finish that one).

Thanks Jen, it’s not that much money wise so I must give it a go if only as a learning experience. I haven’t played any JRPGs.
Those are good games, have you tried “Wasteland 2”? The Numenera game which was a spiritual successor to Planescape Torment?

Re: Divinity: Original Sin 2
No, I never even heard of it. I have been completely out of PC gaming for a few years, though. My job is on the computer, and I sure get sick of it by the end of each day. Maybe after I retire, I’ll get a new laptop and load up on games.
