Just finished playing The Secrets of Atlantis. This was published by The Adventure Company (2006) and is the fifth game in the loosely connected Atlantis series. I was not able to play this on my Windows 10 machine and reverted to my old Win XP.
Prepare to embark on an incredible journey as you travel to the far corners of the world in search of the lost city of Atlantis. Take on the role of Howard Brooks, a young aeronautical engineer as he returns to New York from a conference in Germany. On board the Hindenburg Zeppelin, Howard is attacked by members of an occult sect and soon learns that these evil-doers covet the mysterious secret of a forgotten civilization to which, it seems, he is an heir. Convinced that Howard possesses a key element of their research, they decide to set a trap for him. Put you life on the line as you encounter unspeakable dangers and heart-pounding adventures in order to reveal a secret hidden since the dawn of time.

This was the game where I kept getting killed for losing at gambling by these thugs and had to go hunt down a walkthrough.

I watched the beginning of a YouTube playthrough of this game not too long after I visited the Empire State Building in NY. They did get the architectural details right. What did you think of the game overall?

I enjoyed it. The puzzles were a little clunky because they were contained in a popup box and the navigation of the mouse moved the angle of the box. Other than that, it was a classic Atlantis game where you travel to other countries. It was a little different in the sense that it had a "noir" feel to it. I would recommend.

If you decide to play, Lady K, I have the sequence for the Texas Hold'em gambling scene, if you need it.

Thanks, GL. Unfortunately, this one was never ported to Macs. That's why I decided to watch a playthrough.

Re: The Secrets of Atlantis
It has been ported to iOS, probably slightly simplified. I quite enjoyed the game when I played it some time ago, but not as much as the 2nd and 3rd Atlantis games.

My small iPad has OS 10.11 on it, so maybe I can play it there.
