tiny and Tall: Gleipnir

Post by draclvr »

This is a new one available at Big Fish Games. When I was there yesterday to download all three of my Drawn games for a replay, I did a search for new adventure type games and found this one. I'm downloading it as we speak. It's sounds quite intriguing to me! It was just made available to non-members today - I let my membership expire several years ago.

Download page here... https://www.bigfishgames.com/games/1231 ... eipnir/?pc
tiny & Tall: Gleipnir, Part One is a classic yet modern point'n'click adventure, inspired by LucasArt's legendary titles.

Two barely competent and charmingly inept blacksmiths find themselves contractually bound to the Norse gods and have to explore a lovingly handcrafted world in a quest for unusual and magical objects. But while they look for these ingredients, the sinister gaze of Loki, the Trickster god, casts an evil shadow on their path...

Solve (not so) convoluted puzzles, talk to eccentric characters and discover an epic Norse legend!

Old-school gameplay with a modern realization
More than 50 handpainted (on a computer) levels
A unique soundtrack
An entirely optional clue system
Lots of jokes, almost none directed against the fourth wall
When life gives you lemons, make lemonade. When life gives you tomatoes, make Bloody Marys.

Sounds good to me - will check if Steam has it. And thanks for reminding me of the Drawn games. Would love to play them again.

I have put it on my wishlist and hope they have it on sale soon. At almost R16 to 1$ this is what I normally do and wait for the sale if it comes! :)

At Big Fish Games it's that expensive too?

Everything is so expensive here with our lousy economy that one thinks twice about where your money goes. Plus I have bought a couple of games which are still waiting to be played so for the moment will wait for this one! :)

So, what is the $14.99 at Steam for you then?

R234.21 as we speak! :) I get you that it is cheaper with BF but that is still more than I wish to spend at the moment I'm afraid. Will wait for the sale from both. :)

Hey, Val. I have a ton of Big Fish game club credits that are just sitting in my account. I'd be happy to gift you one so you can enjoy this game. I have an email into Big Fish support about whether that is feasible considering the differences in currency exchange rates. I'll let you know once they respond.

Oh, thank you, JK. That might be just the ticket. I do have to say I am really enjoying this game. Nicely old school point and click with a few tweaks!

Ah thank you so much for your generous offer JK but I really would rather not take your credits away from you. I have several games sitting in my library at Steam which will keep me occupied for some time and can consider Tiny and Tall at a later stage. :) Thanks again though!! ♥

I still haven't gotten a response as yet, Val. However...because Big Fish is so behind in answering their support requests (via site email), they sent me a coupon code for a free game, good even for standard and collector's editions! Apparently, they are presuming all their support emails are for technical support...so to keep you happy, they are giving away free games to tide you over. You might want to visit the site and ask a question via their support email...perhaps something about currency or membership...and see if they send you a code. Just saying.

That's an excellent idea, JKEerie. They are short staffed and really behind. I say go for it, Val! What can it hurt to have another game in the pile!
