Lamplight City

Screenshots are up for Lamplight City. (if you want to hear music with the screenshots, do not use a Firefox browser)

I enjoyed the game but the lack of puzzles was a big downer. You play as a private investigator and you have five cases to solve. It is all conversation with characters. You have to figure out the cases by the clues the characters give you and things you see when you explore. There are many places for you to travel to, by way of a map. The dialog was hilarious, reminds me of Tex Murphy. The graphics were very nice and the music was good. It is a well put together point and click adventure game.

There seems less logical puzzles these days which is why I enjoyed all the mechanical puzzles in House of Da Vinci 2. Those were magnificent.

I am playing "Eastshade" at the moment which is a beautiful, peaceful game. Just beautiful. But there are quests more than puzzles so far and doors are unlocked! This game is such a polar opposite from my previous game "Beyond a Steel Sky" which was great fun but a much faster pace. :)

I will definitely check out Da Vinci 2. I have never played Beyond A Still Sky when it first came out. I am understanding this is a re-do?

The original game is Beneath a Steel Sky, which is a good 3rd person game, and Beyond is its sequel.
