What's Different in The Silent Age?

Post by LadyKestrel »

The Silent Age is a third person game about an ordinary guy named Joe who works as a janitor in a big tech company called Archon. Through a series of unusual events, Joe finds himself in the middle of a crisis which he must help solve, despite the fact that he seems ill prepared to do so.

Below is a scene from the game where Joe visits a disco bar. The modified version has 23 differences from the original. Take a turn naming a difference, then give someone else a chance to answer before you name another. If you right-click on a scene, you should get an enlarged view.

The guy in the red has an emblem on his sleeve.

I couldn't get enlarged versions by clicking through (that just took me to Photobucket) but right-click and 'view image' worked fine for me.

One of the light spots on the wall disappears, near the top of the light beam.

Three more are correct!

Thanks for the right click info, Phlebas. Photobucket gives me headaches sometimes.

Our monitor colors must be different because the bowl has lemons and the circle (dial) on the light is gray. It doesn't matter because I know what you both meant, but it just surprised me.

I couldn't decide between lemons or oranges and they seemed too big to be lemons, so I went with oranges!

A lovely bouquet of flowers has magically appeared on the small table in the lower picture.

And speaking of that small table, Drac, it has 3 legs in the lower picture versus 1 in the upper.

Both answers are right, of course.

Those flowers came from my graphics program. I hadn't tried some of the brush shape options, and had fun messing around with them.

The lemons were a picture I found online. I shrank it down as small as I could, but I probably should have put them on the bar instead of in the back like that.

Well, done, Lady K!

The cable attached to that light with the grey dial is different in the bottom picture.

I wouldn't change a THING, LadyK! I have missed these puzzles. Danyboy used to keep us well entertained with them!

A "y" has appeared on one of the tiles in the lower picture.

I just realized how hard that y-shaped crack is to see, Drac. Well spotted! :thumleft:
