Making Web Links Shorter

If you want to post a web link but see that the address is very long, you can shorten the link by renaming it. Here are the steps:

1. At the beginning of the http address, put [url=

2. At the end of the address, put a close bracket, like this: ]

3. After the bracket, type in your name for the link, such as "Here" or "Cats."

4. End with [/url]

All together, it'll look like this when typed:

Shortened Name Here

To see this finished one, just click the quote button:

Actually if you hover your pointer over the URL box, it will also tell you in case you forget where you wrote it down. I, on the other hand, NEVER forget where I put things!
