So the other problem was that there was no VGA port on my computer, which was my only option based on the cords I have.
Last night I dreamed I went to Manderley again...

There are adapters, but I've never had much luck with them. If you have a DVI port on your video card, you could have tried that if you had a DVI cable. But that's still a digital source. VGA is the old analog source.

Ah, well. Too bad you weren't able to roll it back. I'm terrible at forgetting to create a System Restore point before I do driver updates. One of these days, it will probably happen to me too.

Your plight just inspired me to make a backup copy of all my drivers onto disc. I had made a recovery drive earlier so I'm not sure if this is overkill. Still, it's nice to have the added protection.

And be sure you remember - unlike me! - to make a System Restore point before a driver update. That way you can always go back.
