Excellent. As I said, Dell was SO picky about their drivers being THEIR drivers only! So, what are you going to play on it?

The problem was they gave multiple options but not all applied. Even with putting in my service tag #.
Other than a few tries, it was pretty easy. 🤗

I am planning on playing 80 Days and Ankh - two that I've never played. I think I've had more fun trying to get this old laptop to work than playing the games themselves.

Ha Ha! Once again, the journey is more important than the destination. Or at least more fun! 😊

That's usually the same with all laptop brands.
The company designs a custom motherboard, and pretty much everything is built into the motherboard on a laptop -- sound card, net card, touchpad, etc.

I've certainly had that happen.
I've even totally lost interest in a game after getting it to run properly.
Get a laptop or computer to work properly and you feel like you accomplished something.
But if it turns out you don't actually enjoy playing the game, you're not accomplishing your goal of having fun.

The JOURNEY was more important than the destination. True statement. I've never did this before, like swapping out a hard drive, and just the whole debugging process. I definitely feel accomplished now. :)

Great job.
Sometimes the journey IS the destination.

Hope you enjoy your games.
I've played Ankh, but not 80 Days.
I think there were 3 Ankh games, but I only played the first two.
