Razer scroll button not working
Re: Razer scroll button not working
But perhaps an ancient magical oil will do the trick! I assume it DID work though?

Yes, I am amazed - it still works despite the corrosion.
However my new Chroma should be here later today

When that new DeathAdder arrives , be prepared to create an account just to access the driver download .

That's only if you want to use their cloud-based Synapse drivers - it is an account that allows you to create settings for individual games on the mouse. You do not have to use their fancy drivers/program. I just use my Death Adder as a plug and play.

True , you don't absolutely need it . However , it seems silly to pay good money for what would be essentially a paper weight . To get the most from a mouse , in this case , install a driver . Just my 2 cents . Not sure what Razer was thinking when Synapse was implimented in this way , Rosaboobie .

Re: Razer scroll button not working
But I dearly love my Death Adder "paper weight" and it works perfectly and performs like a charm no matter the game I'm playing without the Synapse drivers. I've had the Synapse drivers and other than being able to tweak settings in the mouse performance, it really was no advantage at all.

Re: Razer scroll button not working
To each their own . At least to me anyhhow , I would not spend more than a $20 for just a plain mouse . Far as the Chroma features are concerned , that is a Synapse requirement . Got inside knowledge on that one . I have seen the older DA's floating around every so often , along with the older Mamba .

Re: Razer scroll button not working
middletoe, every time I see this trick with the oil can, I always always say to myself - Huh, if only that would work in real life!
Now, I have a queston for all you Razer fans - Do you use a special mouse mat for your Razer mouse? I have just looked more closely at my mouse mat and it is very much the worse for wear (like worn parts in the plastic), so I am thinking this did not help my poorly mouse. I do have a special Razer mat somewhere - unfortunately I have to use a mouse mat with an integrated wrist pad, so I always have to cut these mats down to fit.

The mouse won't care if the pad is old.Rosaboobie wrote:Do you use a special mouse mat for your Razer mouse?
A laser mouse can work on almost any surface.

But if the plastic on the pad is flaking off and not just worn, I'd get another pad.
Re: Razer scroll button not working
I use the Razer Sphex mouse mat for my old Death Adder. It is very hard and smooth and the mouse works great with it. I found that one reason I like it is because I can clean it. But it doesn't have a wrist pad. You can buy those separately if you don't want an integrated wrist pad.

Re: Razer scroll button not working
Why do you use mouse pads? They were necessary for the roller ball mouses but I long ago found my laser mouse works better on the smooth desk surface.
Re: Razer scroll button not working
My desktop is wood and is not perfectly smooth. That's why I use the Sphex.
