Reverting

Well, I've just finished reverting to Windows 8.1. Windows 10 was OK, but some of the changes made were not great to my way of thinking. For instance, files on OneDrive can't be shared directly from the hard drive, but you have to go to the online site and upload there first. My digital camera pictures couldn't be saved to Pictures file, I kept getting error notices that I didn't have permission to save. I did not like the Start button and missed the Windows 8 start page with all the apps easily available. Cortana was useless to me as it doesn't work in Canada. I'm actually glad to see my icons back on the right hand side (weird, eh?). Anyone else prefer 8?

Hubby was quite confused too with windows 10. There were too many apps for an old person like him... and the cortana is useless to him too. but, I have his computer set up now to work like it did on his old laptop so he is happy.

OneDrive just isn't "done" yet. I believe that's coming very shortly though.

I don't use Cortana as a voice search at all - I'd have to set up a microphone and I already have too much crap on my desk! I just use it as a normal text search box.

I loved Windows 8.1, but I really do like Windows 10 too. Some of the apps are much improved...
