I have just finished this book - I just love Val McDermid books - she is my favourite author at the moment - she is a Master at writing crime thrillers.

Did you see "Wire in the Blood" the tv series with Robson Green based on the books? I found it very disturbing.

Yes, thoroughly enjoyed it, but like you say, a bit "dark" and disturbing. Robson Green plays Tony Hill brilliantly though.

I now have almost evey one of Val McDermids books, and am steadily working my way through them.

I've only read her "Trick of the Dark" book so far, but I plan to take some of the others out of the library in the future.

Some of her books are a bit "dark" Jude but she is a excellent writer.
