This looks amazing and it does look like fun. Want to hear more.
Last night I dreamed I went to Manderley again...

Aw that looks delightful! Up my ally. Thanks!
Re: What Adventure Game Are You Playing
I just started playing Goetia, I'm enjoying it, it is quite different from what I just finished playing, Bioshock and Soma., both of which I enjoyed a lot!
"Goetia is a beautifully crafted and intricately complex game set in a fantastically spooky world. It’s a must-play for horror and supernatural mystery enthusiasts, though not for those afraid of a little challenge."
One aspect of the game is you can pick up an item to use and can carry it around with you except you can't go thru walls or floors... and it isn't stored in an inventory you have to put it down . Not only do you have to figure out what to do in the game with the puzzles and such you have to remember where you put that item down to be able to go back and get it... there are a lot of items... lol.. good test for the memory.
Edit
Seems like I hit a dead end!!! I dropped the broom in the well full of water and it can’t come out!!!! 3 days of playing bummer So if you play this DON’T drop the that broom! Doubt I will start over.
I found a fix. I had to Edit the game save file

Re: What Adventure Game Are You Playing
Have it ready to download - just finishing Beyond a Steel Sky which I am loving!!
Re: What Adventure Game Are You Playing
I am stuck with no idea what to play! I have been going through my Telltale games, which suit the couple of hours a week I get to play. But now I don't know what to play next. I feel too scatterbrained for anything complicated, or with difficult interfaces (so spoiled with the left right click system). I tried to pick up Runaway 2 where I left it, but I have no idea what I am doing and it's not grabbing me. Any ideas?

I just finished Lamplight City which is all character interaction and no puzzles. You are a detective and solve five cases. Nothing complicated about it.

Re: What Adventure Game Are You Playing
House of Da Vinci 2 and Beyond the Steel Sky are two of my most recent I really enjoyed Skeeter. Playing Eastshade now and it is really quiet, beautiful and relaxing!!
Re: What Adventure Game Are You Playing
Just finished Creaks from Amanita Design. Just in time as I have another rush of tomatoes to make something out of - chili sauce this time. Creaks is going to be an immediate replay when I have time as I'll never figure out those puzzles by myself the second time either! I'm just not ready to leave that little world yet.

Re: What Adventure Game Are You Playing
I looked at my games folder and saw Kaptain Brawe. I haven't played that for years so am starting that again. I remember little things from playing it before, but, it is almost like a new game for me. I remember that I enjoyed it the first time around.
Re: What Adventure Game Are You Playing
I loved Kaptain Brawe when I played it years ago. I might have to find it again. I have been meaning to try Lamplight City, Ghostlady. I will look up Creaks, is it like Machinarium? Val, I forgot that Beyond the Steel Sky is out, I find it hard to keep up with the releases. Is House of Da Vinci first person? I've always struggled with motion sickness, and it's gotten worse as I've gotten older. I really wanted to play the new Nancy Drew, but I just can't do it.

Re: What Adventure Game Are You Playing
In terms of the graphics and feel of the game, it's very much like Machinarium. But it is not point and click... you use the arrow keys to navigate and the space key to interact. I found I much prefer those controls to point and click. In the Latest News forum I have a link to the game. The puzzles really make you think!
