I'd like to hear more about the Nancy Drew game from you! So many, many people hated it. So it's nice to hear someone is enjoying it!

Yes, I haven't received it in the mail yet. But I found Nancy Drew The Lost Queen at Bigfish for 9.99 and I started that. And I love any game that is Egyptian!
I'll be sure to let you know about the ND Salem game. I've been spending most of my free time getting this place back in order.

The Adv. game I am playing or re-playing is The House of da Vinci 1, great game, great puzzles, graphics are top notch, keeps you interested though the entire game. And the Beautiful thing about this game and also da Vinci 2 which I also played is that they Do Not require a Graphics cards with a ton of memory, 1GB ram of memory is more than good enough. Funny how these guys can pull off 2 great games with minimum video requirements while others Crank up their video memory and they don't even come close to the quality of these 2 games.
Anyway, back to the Game(s), if you Love Easy to Hard puzzles and playing around with machinery, then these games are for you.

That's really good to hear, RaytheBear. I agree... so many of the newer adventure games are requiring a pretty beefy computer to play them. No problem for me as I built my current desktop to play RPGs and FPS games. But a lot of people just don't have the hardware. So, it's really nice to hear there are still good games out there like this one!

Thanks for the tip RaytheBear. I may run into the problem of not having a beefed up PC, since mine is pretty old. I haven't had any problems yet.

Re: What Adventure Game Are You Playing
Well...I just completed the game Everlight: Magic and Power. I had started it and then loaded Dark Fall Lost Souls in anticipation of playing the latest Jonathan Boakes game at Drac's recommendation. I completed Dark Fall LS, and as I said in the previous thread, I wasn't a fan. I had forgotten I still had Everlight to play, so I cranked it up to play today. I didn't realize how close I was to finishing. In all, I really enjoyed the game. It was lighthearted, funny, a nice story. Voice acting was good. It was all inventory based, so no puzzles. Graphics were nice. Characters were all varied. Lots of dialogue trees. Played well in Windows 10 (The game was released in 2008.) You have a choice of difficulty, which in essence merely provides the opportunity for limited to unlimited hints. A very enjoyable game in the final analysis!
I've got so many unplayed games in my cabinet...purchased through the years as they were released...but never having the time to play them. Now...all I've got is time. So...I have 5 Nancy Drews that I have not played...skipping ahead to play the last one released. I was curious about all the negative reviews...that in my mind were undeserved. So...I think it's back to No. 28: Nancy Drew The Ghost of Thornton Hall. Seems it's in keeping with the current spirit of the manor!

I've been playing Nancy Drew also. Trying to catch up on the ones I've missed. I am halfway through Tomb Of The Lost Queen and I have Midnight In Salem and Labyrinth of Lies on the docket. I also purchased Ghost Vigil recently which will be my next play. I have been hearing that lots of people are coming back to Adventure games.

Re: What Adventure Game Are You Playing
I think with all the time many folks have on their hands in the age of Covid, people are returning to playing. Plus adventure games provide a means of escape in addition to entertainment.
I also just loaded up Art of Murder Cards of Destiny...which I couldn't initially get to display correctly on my Windows 10 laptop which has a widescreen display. I can't change display settings in my Nvidia control panel, as in this laptop, the actual display is controlled by Windows via the integrated intel graphics. I thought I'd have to play the game on my Windows 7 machine. However, I had an issue with a Big Fish game and the solution was to change my display scale from the default 125% to 100%. So...I decided to try that with this game and it did the trick. The edges of the screen are cut off on the left and right sides, but not drastically and the game is centered. Solution found.
I will, however, continue with Nancy Drew. I'd rather deal with ghosts than a serial killer.

How lucky for you to find a solution. I am with you on playing with ghosts vs a serial killer.

Recently finished Beyond A Steel Sky.
Loved it. 26 years since the last one and there are a few bugs in the new one, but I luckily didn't get many of them.
Currently on the Senscape Discord we are doing a group play of Sherlock Holmes Vs Jack the Ripper.

Just placed Beyond a Steel Sky in my wishlist - will purchase before the 'special' finishes on Steam end of the month!!
RaytheBear I so loved House of Da Vinci 2 - think it is the best game I have played in years as I loved all the mechanical puzzles and the storyline. I played #1 so long ago that I may well replay it sometime.

Re: What Adventure Game Are You Playing
As a contrast to RealMyst Masterpiece, which I talked about in the previous thread, I'm just starting Anna's Quest in the community playthrough over at AG. People really seem to like it, so I'll see how it goes.

Let us know what you think of Anna’s Quest LadyK, I’m beginning to get into playing Adventure games again.
Re: What Adventure Game Are You Playing
Kickaha so am I. I’ve been off of them for awhile.
