What adventure game are you playing?
Re: What adventure game are you playing?
Thanks, Drac! It must be good if you're playing through it again.
Re: What adventure game are you playing?
It is... haven't enjoyed an adventure game this much since BOUT.
When life gives you lemons, make lemonade. When life gives you tomatoes, make Bloody Marys.
Re: What adventure game are you playing?
I just put it on my wishlist at Steam.

I finished Sherlock Holmes Nemesis. I enjoyed it but found the 360 degree first person panning and movement made the game more difficult. Often you had to be right on top of a hot spot before you'd get the hand cursor. Plus that kind of navigation can make me physically ill.
I've loaded up Nancy Drew Ghost of Thorton Hall as well as CSI5 Deadly Intent and CSI 6 Fatal Conspiracy. Everything is playing well thus far in Windows 10.

Just started the new one from Thomas Brush called Neversong. Kind of a platformer, but so far some neat puzzles. He did Pinstripe which was excellent.

Re: What adventure game are you playing?
I’ve started playing “Riven” again - I shall consult a walkthrough for the Fire Marble puzzle but I’ll see how far I get apart from that. I ought to play through all the Myst games as I got the 25th anniversary collection.
Re: What adventure game are you playing?
Gosh Riven! I remember sheaves of notes but still didn't complete it. Think I had about a third to go when I capitulated! No video walkthroughs in those days and was completely lost! Good luck.
Re: What adventure game are you playing?
Same here, Val! I might have gotten a little further, but not much.

I did manage to finish it once but only because someone called Diane Matheison helped me, shame she’s no longer with us.

I'm due for a replay of Riven. I've played it at least twice all the way through and then again to activate the terrific Easter eggs. I also have RealMyst Masterpiece I want to try.
I’m more confused than a chameleon in a bagful of Skittles.
Re: What adventure game are you playing?
For light relief I’m playing “The Gardens Between” on my iPad - may not have much of a story but a beautiful game and a different puzzle mechanic to any other game I’ve played.
Re: What adventure game are you playing?
I loved that sweet little game!
At the moment I am enjoying The House of Da Vinci 2. As good as the first game with masses of mechanical puzzles to solve. Great graphics and story.

Re: What adventure game are you playing?
That’s one I may well try Val.
Re: What adventure game are you playing?
I enjoyed the first one - not as tightly designed as the Room games, but a more open feel to it and a nice setting - so I might well give the second a go at some point. Plus it runs on my Android phone and that's the only way I get to play any games these days - any recommendations of snackable, Android-friendly adventures appreciated
. I suppose technically I'm still playing the rather wonderful Aviary Attorney, but it's months since I've had a chance to touch it - lots to catch up on if I ever get to spend free time on the computer again!
Re: What adventure game are you playing?
You will enjoy it Phlebas. Am now on chapter 6 but the chapters are long and so enjoyable. Will be sorry when it ends. Agree with you when comparing the Room games. A box puzzle in the centre of one room kept on growing and growing on completion of each puzzle until it almost filled the room at the end. Just loved it!
