What adventure game are you playing?

I just loved BOUT! Think I have played it twice over the years. Might just take advantage of that sale too JK! At the moment playing a game which was on sale from Steam called Gone Home! Have played about an hour exploring a mansion looking for clues to find out where my parents and sister have gone! Huge storm outside - graphics are pretty good - and lighst to switch on in all the rooms so not too spooky yet!! Am really enjoying it. But am now trying to work out the combination of a safe in sisters room so can open (I presume) the locked attic hatchway. Maybe then the scary part will begin!!
Really good value even for my South African Rand!!!

Yes...a 75% discount isn't bad! I just downloaded it. I also have Critter Chronicles on DVD. So nice to play games that are light hearted...particularly in the present state of the planet!

I completed Book of Unwritten Tales and thoroughly enjoyed it. Strange...in the very last scene, when Ivo joins Nate and Wilbur and they escape with the artefact, the dialogue subtitles were in German! That was the only place in the game that happened.

I have now loaded and started Sherlock Holmes Nemesis in my Windows 10 Asus laptop. You need the CD in the drive to play, but that's not an issue. This game will be considerably harder than BOUT. It's been a long time since I played Sherlock Holmes.

Yes, that German thing was a "glitch" that just never got resolved! I'd forgotten about it. BOUT is just an excellent good old adventure game!

It's a funny glitch. Just added to the overall humor of the game. And yes, Drac, I totally agree. This was a great adventure game! Love the references to all the movies...Indiana Jones, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, and even Mission Impossible! The voice acting was the best!

Art a little gruesome but Ive just played through “Tormentum Dark Sorrow” on my tablet - not sure if it really has different endings but I don’t bother normally replaying games to try to get the happy path. For me I prefer games with one ending not games being clever.

I loved Tormentum and really wasn't interested in the other ending either. I've heard they did a second Tormentum.

Yes, Tormentum does have two endings. Over at AG, we're voting on whether they choose it for the next community playthrough. If it wins, I'll be leading it. The art in the game reminds me of Geiger's dark world landscapes from the Dark Seed games.

THanks at least I know - the art is based on HR Giger and another artist I hadn’t heard of before called Beksinski. I haven’t played the Dark Seed games.

Reading about BoUT makes me want to play that again. I have played it several times already but, it is always good for another go. I have been playing Tales of Monkey Island quite a bit too lately. I have replayed all the Sherlock Holmes games that I have and while waiting for this rain to end, I guess I will start BoUT.

I've been doing a replay of the new one from Jonathon Boakes and Darkling Room. One of the best I've played in a very long time! I'm grabbing screenshots along the way because Ghostlady has been doing some revamping and housecleaning here. We're going to try to get some new screenshots and maybe even some new saves in the saved games database.
