Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas
Hey fellow gamers. Just popping by to wish everyone a Merry Christmas. We are both getting back to the Christmas spirit. Hubby says when we move to the country he wants to get another Christmas tree. Now I wish I hadn't thrown out those stain glass decorations I made. My poor brother and his wife won't have company this year, this is the first year they will be alone. My brother is 80 and has copd. This is the first year my daughter and her husband will be doing their own Christmas. My nephew will be staying with them till after the New Year.
I'm already up 2lbs and Christmas hasn't even started yet. Oh well, back to the grind after New Year's. I hope everyone will have a wonderful Christmas this year in spite of the covid nonsense. They told people here that anyone getting together for Christmas will be fined, people told them to shove it. Well I'm off, hope to see you all in the New Year. Enjoy the holidays.

Re: Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas, Starlite, and to you and all my fellow manorites...all the best in the New Year! Cheers
Re: Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas to all my fellow manorites. This year has sucked. All I gave for Christmas gifts was money, as we are not getting together.. No tree either. no nothing except..... I did buy myself a prime rib roast to do in the oven. I love rib roast and even though it was expensive, I wanted to do something for Christmas. hey, has anyone heard from Rozanne/rosaboobie? I wonder how she is doing. or has anyone heard from Stella? I just worry about them. please let me know if you hear from them.
Re: Merry Christmas
I talk with Rosaboobie several times a week on FB and she is doing fine. She's not doing much gaming any more. She is now in the highlands of northern Scotland in a beautiful home surrounded by heather and even the occasional Highland cow and calf! She lost her beloved Jack Russell Terrier Maloo this fall mostly just due to old age. I'll see if I can convince her to stop by here at MM. Stella still pops in now and then.
Nothing here for Christmas either... just me and Dave and a standing rib roast for us too! I Have a really good recipe I use every year... you season the roast heavily with Montreal Steak Seasoning. Then the last hour you baste every 15 minutes with a mixture of coarse horseradish mustard and real maple syrup. Making a potato au gratin with gruyere cheese, green beans with and I love Yorkshire pudding, so am making that too. I have a pie recipe I want to try using apple butter with pumpkin and a crust made of gingersnap cookies. It also has whipped cream in it and is a refrigerated pie. I made some gingersnaps the other day.
I did send gifts out to the Colorado grandkids and baked some cookies. I had to cancel our annual cookie baking Saturday tradition with my granddaughter who lives here, so it wasn't as much fun. We did a brief socially distanced visit to their house Tuesday to drop off her gifts and the cookies.
I am doing some porch drop-offs of soup for a friend who contracted COVID. She lives alone and really doesn't have anyone. We were very worried about her as she has uncontrolled diabetes and is grossly overweight, but it appears she is having a very mild case, thank heavens. I'm doing a porch drop-off of a plate of our Christmas dinner on Saturday and my friend Kim is doing a porch drop-off a plate of their dinner on Friday.

Re: Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas, my favorite ghosties. This is the first year ever in my life that I won't be around my family on Christmas Eve. We already transferred the gifts and we will all open them this evening on Zoom. I feel blessed that we have not had any incidents with COVID and I intend to keep it that way until we are all vaccinated. I wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Last night I dreamed I went to Manderley again...

And a Happy Christmas to you all from me, and wishing you all the best in the New Year!

Re: Merry Christmas
Thank you for the festive card, StarLite, and merry Christmas to all our Manorites! My sister and I exchanged our gifts tonight, but otherwise it's a quiet night. She's listening to some music CDs she got, and after I shut down my computer, I'll have my nose in a book while munching a nice gift of chocolates.
I’m more confused than a chameleon in a bagful of Skittles.
