This wonderfully familiar music was also used in the game "The Hobbit" for the Hall of the Dwarven Mountain King chapter. It was my favorite part of the game!

One of the first classical record albums I ever bought is called Finlandia, which includes Grieg's Peer Gynt Suite No. 1. It's a favorite of mine.

Right now I'm reading the first book of the Game of Thrones series, and last night I finished the chapter in which Catelyn Stark climbs up to the Eyrie. "In the Hall of the Mountain King" would have been very appropriate as background music for reading it.

The Hobbit game I remember was a text adventure!
But for a gamer of my generation the music has a different (and strong!) association:

I loved the music at the time but not so much now.

That is one of the most iconic pieces of music ever. No matter how many times I hear it, it still evokes the feels.

Another two that are like that for me:

Those are unforgettable Jen, especially the Toccata and Fugue in D Minor. It has always been one of my favorites!
