I have spent days online shopping. Not only for Christmas gifts but other necessary items. I get most of my clothes and household goods this time of year because of all the sales. So far I've gotten 5 sets of PJs, tops and bottoms. 5 pairs of black knit pants. 10 cotton t-shirts. 1 sweater and some socks.
2 area rugs, one for my study and one for the living area. Curtains for my dining room. Stocked up on games from GOG and a few books and puzzles.
I've just run out of wrapping paper and tape so off to Amazon I go.

You sound just like me! Exactly what I'm doing too. My DIL is a supervisor at UPS and works from 7:30 pm to 4:30 am every day during what they call "peak!" This is is addition to her regular job in the Recorder of Deeds office for the County! I think she said she clocked 93 hours last week. We have guys delivering stuff in personal vehicles and U-Haul trucks in addition to the regular UPS routes out here in the country!
I'm at a loss for gifts for the grandkids because the older they get, the harder it is. I stumbled on some simple jewelry of sea turtles and dolphins and the like on Facebook. Each one is supposed to track a particular turtle, dolphin or shark. You get a scannable QR code so you can track your animal all the time in an app. Got those for the 3 granddaughters.
I actually had to order ammonia from Amazon! You cannot find it anywhere in the local stores. I use it to clean greasy stuff in the kitchen and the garage stove. Even had to get Chlorox tabs for the toilet tanks from Amazon! Sheeesh! At least toilet paper is reasonable plentiful, although the stores are limiting purchases to one package.

I like to shop online and especially like browsing the museum shops for Christmas gifts. I don't have many gifts to buy this year anyway because we won't be having our usual family get-together on Christmas Eve. My cousin said she'll host Christmas in July if we all get vaccinated by then.

I really hope by July we will be in some kind of normalcy again!

I don't have any Christmas prep to do since we are not doing a family gathering this year...which I usually host...15 people. So...I downsized the decorating. My older brother will join me on Christmas Day for dinner. I've had a holiday tradition for the past 30 plus years where I would find the funniest Christmas cards I could and give those out along with some nice chocolate. I will continue that tradition with only my brother...but the tradition will go on. In the meantime, I have time for playing games...just haven't felt like it the last few days. Today I went out to shovel a couple inches of snow from the driveway. In truth, it likely would have melted on its own, but it was either shoveling or the rowing machine...so I went out in the cool air to shovel. Even though the snow was wet and heavy, it felt good. I was tired thereafter and decided to forego gaming for relaxing in my lounger. I think I made the right choice.

Sometimes we just need to change things up, JK, and also get out and move. It sounds like you did just the right thing.

And the recliner afterwards also sounds like just the right thing! Perhaps with a glass of wine!
