As a veteran of the US Air Force and considering the state of relations in this country right now, I just wanted to share...

Re: On Veterans Day
Thank you, JK. That was beautiful and very moving.
I’m more confused than a chameleon in a bagful of Skittles.
Re: On Veterans Day
That was wonderful. I was just about to post something for Veteran's Day here in the US.
And this is Veteran's Day here in the US! All our observances of this day at our American Legion Post have been cancelled due to COVID. I thank my granddaughter, my grandson, my niece, my husband, my late second husband, my late brother-in-law nd all other service members, past and present, for their service to the country. The word "service" is used for a reason!
World War I – known at the time as “The Great War” - officially ended when the Treaty of Versailles was signed on June 28, 1919, in the Palace of Versailles outside the town of Versailles, France. However, fighting ceased seven months earlier when an armistice, or temporary cessation of hostilities, between the Allied nations and Germany went into effect on the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month. For that reason, November 11, 1918, is generally regarded as the end of “the war to end all wars.”

Wonderful, JK! Thank you for sharing this.
Last night I dreamed I went to Manderley again...
