Welcome back Ghostlady. I used to collect postcards, but I would buy them from flea markets or pawn shops. I have a few of the Great Wall of China, Buda's tomb, and one dated 1824 of London bridge and I think big ben. I have a whole box of them somewhere. :)

Wow you were in London in 1824. That's impressive :)

Postcards are fun for me. I especially like the ones that have been written on and sent. It seems I can hear their voices from long ago. Lots talk of the travel and how long it would take to get from one place to another.

I was going through some things that were my husband's first wife's possessions this spring. The kids took some of it when she passed away in 1999, but I kept all the rest of it. Dave met Hanna in Germany when he was stationed there with the Army in 1964. She had saved a bunch of postcards sent from her family in Germany. It was so interesting... I could translate most of it, but had to look up a few things.

Some new acquisitions. These are all linen postcards which would have been created from 1930 to 1950.

I remember my grandmother had a bunch of these... the color saturations were always so beautiful.

I love the ones that someone has used and it is written on. I read them all. Very interesting in where they are at and where they were sent to.
