Happy Birthday, Lady K...from a safe social distance! Even though your celebration will be limited, I'm certain you are loved nonetheless! Cheers to you in the next year of your life. :cheers

Thank you for the lovely birthday wishes, everyone! I woke up this morning to a phone call from my cousin who told me to look out on the front porch. She made me a chocolate cake and delivered it with a Visa gift card and a very funny birthday card. She also left Lindt chocolate bunnies and Easter cards for my sister and me. My sister bought me a bag of Ghiradelli Easter chocolates and an adorable Peanuts card with Woodstock and the rest of the gang, and I've heard from my sis-in-law and several friends either by phone or email today. Since I've spent the day reading, munching bunny ears, and playing games on the computer, life is good! :tu

That’s great Lady K! When I used to visit the States (which I haven’t done for a while) I used to look out for Peanuts cards to buy and give people back in the UK. Happy belated birthday wishes in this arena.

Belated happy birthday, LadyK! Sounds like a good one - I remember Ghirardelli chocolate from my couple of trips to the Bay Area with work years ago, it was good stuff!

Thank you, Kickaha and Phlebas! Regarding chocolate, my favorite is from a local place that makes it themselves in small batches. (Their almond bark is to die for!) I just hope that when the small businesses can open again they'll still be there.

It's funny that you mention buying cards here, Kickaha, because on my trips to England over the years, I always come back with lots of cards. I often make my own cards from scratch, but I also look for designs and images that I can alter with my rubber stamps or I find some that inspire my own interpretation. This past January I found several lovely ones in the Oxfam store in Stratford-Upon-Avon, and the National Theatre in London had some funny ones in their bookstore that I couldn't resist.
