Back from holiday

Post by Kickaha »

I’ve just been on another cruise (to Iceland this time) and as is my habit I’ve done a webpage or two about it - they’re visible at https://www.alofmethbin.com/Articles/Di ... index.html.

Oh, yippee! More places to visit vicariously through you, Kickaha. I must say that Iceland is some place I would really, really like to visit.

I see what you mean about the lava formations at Dimmuborgir. The one you photographed reminds me of a dragon. Iceland certainly has a rugged beauty, and I would love to visit it as well.

I didn’t try the Blue Lagoon where you can bathe in mineral rich hot water

Wow, cool pics! That is a huge boat/ship. Could you tell you were on the water (in other words, did it sway in the waves)? It seems the people in Iceland are making good use of the volcanic heat.

Iceland is as you say Jude in a strong position with geothermal power under their feet! On these huge cruise liners most of the time you’re not conscious of the boat rocking, sometimes you are but not often.

Oh wow - brilliant photos.

Did you see the Northern Lights? Apparently my new home "town" of Rogart is THE best place to see them in the whole of the UK - its a shame I am always in bed when it happens lol!

I remember seeing the northern lights few times when I was growing up. We were far enough north in Iowa and it was always VERY cold as I remember.
