Thanks everyone! I started the day with Esther toddling in to bring me a card in bed, had cakes at work and a nice glass of wine with supper in the evening, and Sarah gave me a classic Doctor Who story on DVD and a ticket for a tour of the village where it was filmed, with some of the cast - greatly looking forward to that next month!

It's The Daemons - a classic scary Jon Pertwee story with overtones of Hammer Horror/Dennis Wheatley pastiche and featuring the original Master, Roger Delgado, posing as a vicar. Just a few years older than I am!

I remember it well - the vicar’s name was Magister wasn’t it? Should be a great day!

It was a great day! I'd like to go back sometime for more of a look around the place (I didn't make it to the barrows outside town, for instance) but it was lovely to spend time with other fans and hear the cast members' reminiscences. Katy Manning (who played Jo Grant) was especially entertaining and my tour group were lucky enough to get her last, thus for longer!
I was also excited to meet some of the other attendees!
