I agree! Yesterday we spent a little time at a local church's fall festival. A band of three young men was playing for about an hour. The bass player was about 10, the drummer about 10 and the lead guitar player about 14. What were they playing? AC-DC and Journey from WAY back in the day!

So very true! My son made the comment the other day that he was astonished to discover music from his era now being described as Golden Oldies! He is 45! What on earth is the description from music from 'my' era now? Vintage I suppose.

I laughed when a 17-year-old in the blind auditions of The Voice last night said she had a collection of folk music records and then sang a Bob Dylan song. I sang in a folk group when I was in high school. We called ourselves the Kettle Kreek 5.

Good for you Lady K! I sang in a choir when I was young but not very well . . .

I also sang in a church choir, chorus, and in our annual musicals in high school. My mother told me that what she missed the most when I went to college was my singing around the house. I don't have much of a voice left anymore, but I still love to sing.

My mother sang in the Luton Girls Choir when she was young - singing is one of the many things I have no talent for.

Oh wow Kickaha - that was a marvellous choir! I, too, was involved with singing all my life. School choir, musicals and my last effort in the chorus of a panto a couple of years ago.
Doubt whether my vocal cords could cope with anything nowadays though!
