I've been making Soft Raisin Cookies lately and find the "drop by tablespoons" frustrating as it's hard to get the cookies the roughly same size. SOooooo, I treated myself to a melon scoop (like an icecream scoop but small) and it works perfectly and makes the job so fast! This is the type with the lever that scrapes the contents out. I'm a granny and I just taught myself to suck eggs.

I bought one for melons, but I made such a mess using it, that it became my cookie dropper. Then my grandson needed a sturdy "digger" and it morphed into that.

I'm thinking I wasn't meant to cook, because a lot of my cooking utensils go missing, but can be found out in the garden!

My silverware ends up in the garden - to plant flowers and my garden plants, I just use a spoon and then forget where I left it in the garden. I use a butter knife for a screwdriver and I leave that always laying around. I use my meat pounder thingy for a hammer. I can't find any tools in my hubby's junk drawer, so I have to make do with what I can find.
