Rosy...it sounds like you had a real ordeal getting home! Unfortunately, delayed flights and lost luggage are more the norm these days than the exception. I'm betting your luggage is sitting on some baggage tram on some tarmac somewhere waiting to be loaded onto a plane heading for somewhere. I hated traveling for business just because of flight delays and airport headaches. I learned quickly to go carry-on with one small suitcase and a large over the shoulder purse for my conference materials. If it didn't fit in that small bag it did not go. Many of my male colleagues would ask me if I'd show their wives how to pack!

Anyway...glad you are home safely and I do hope you otherwise had a perfectly lovely time. I hope also you have a good bottle of wine chilling to assist with that relaxation!

Yes, I did indeed open a bottle of red when I got home early evening - it went down lovely with my home made Chicken Curry.

I am very optimistic that they will indeed find my suitcase eventually - This poor suitcase is fated as BA broke the extending handle on the outward journey.

Not had the energy to unpack yet, Val - I cant believe that I have spent the last 3 days in bed with this flu-like bug that is doing the rounds here, with only struggiing to get up to feed my dogs - Dont remember being this ill for so many years - Feeling very sorry for myself lol!

I'm a bit late commenting, but I've just caught up with all the latest posts. Rosa, you certainly know how NOT to travel! Between the horrendous trip out and the disastrous trip back you could write a book. I'll bet the furry ones were pleased to see you again. Hope you're feeling better and that you'll be able to post some pics now that your suitcase has been found.

Yes, as you can imagine, I got a wonderful welcome home from the babies - they just wont leave me alone for a second since I have returned.

Just weighed myself and I have lost 7 lbs. with this bug!

Val, I must be poorly - I dont even fancy wine at the moment ha ha!
