Trackpads

Does anyone use or have used a trackpad? I'm tempted to try getting one, but just wanted to check what other people thought.

My husband used one and preferred it to a mouse. I tried it a few times but couldn't get used to the tapping and scrolling. I even preferred using a mouse with my laptop. Now with the ease of my Magic Mouse, I couldn't picture me ever using one.
I’m more confused than a chameleon in a bagful of Skittles.
