Happy New Year to one and all. Unfortunately, I was at the hospital all day. Mom's hemoglobin plummeted again after just two weeks post her last hospital visit. The docs are all in shock...how relatively asymptomatic she is. So...she's in the ICU, already rebounding after just a single pint of blood. The question is why is her autoantibody attacking her red cells with such a vengeance? So...please keep her in your prayers tonight and through the new year.
Sorry to be such a bummer. We won't get to toast the New Year together, but I'll be drinking for the both of us!

So sorry to hear about your Mom, JK - I hope she feels better today.
No, Drac, I didnt bother to stay up - lots of parties going on all around me but I preferred to stay at home - it is such an awful night out there - we have had inches and inches of rain these past 2 weeks, so much so that a delivery van got stuck outside my house, twice! Everywhere is a quagmire.

Oh, skeeter, you have had a terrible 2016. I'm so sorry to hear this. I too am VERY, very glad to see 2016 in the rear view mirror. Not too positive about 2017 either given the political situation here.
