I am very much panicking - I leave on my walking holiday in just 2 weeks time and for the past month I have not been able to wear any footware, not even slippers, and all because of a very painful corn on my left toe. I have already had 2 treatments at the chiropodist and over the New Year holiday, I convinced myself I had an infected toe because of the excruciating pain. So I went to the Doctor yesterday, only to be told it was not infected but merely a painful corn!

All I want to do is reduce or eradicate the pain before my holiday - so does anyone have any home-spun natural remedies for this please? I am already soaking the foot in salty lukewarm water each day, but nothing seems to be helping. At this ate I am going to have to cancel my holiday, I fear!

I am not looking to eradicate the corn itself I only want to eradicate the pain so that I can walk. At the moment I have to go barefoot, and even though there is no pressure on the corn, the pain is still exccuciating - and I do have a fairly high pain threshhold!

What about an injection in the area to kill the pain? Maybe your foot doctor will have a suggestion.
