I'm struggling with a reformat of Windows 10. Just can't get Firefox, which we prefer using, to perform properly. Lots of 404 errors. Never mind, I'll get it sorted sooner or later or throw the da...ed computer out the window! I found the errors when attempting to book hotels for a car trip I'm taking with my daughter at the end of September. We're going through the Maritimes and seeing Anne of Green Gables cottage, Peggy's Cove, etc. as well as doing the Cabot Trail. We both of us have never seen the Maritimes so are looking forward to the trip. My French should get a bit of a workout in Quebec City, hope I know what I'm ordering in restaurants!

I can't imagine what is going on with your Windows 10, Diat. I pretty much only use Firefox and I've never had any problems at all.

Neither did we, Drac, until the "refresh" of Windows 10. The problem could be with our internet provider or with the computer. However, we're changing our IP tomorrow to Bell and a wireless modem, so we'll just see if that makes any difference. BTW, no problem getting into sites using Edge but I really don't like it's interface.
This is good, eh? BD's just back and already she's listening to moaning!

What do you mean by "refresh?" Are you talking about the Anniversary Update?

I think Edge is probably going to be a good browser, but I'm not a huge fan either. For one thing, it doesn't support my Roboform password manager and I would be lost without that!

Just a heads-up on BD. She has gone AWOL on Drac and I - we hear from her without fail every single day but nothing now for almost 48 hours - Drac sent an email to her son yesterday, but as yet no reply, so we fear that she might have ended up in hospital again.

Yes, and still no reply from the son this morning. She indicated that she may refuse any more transfusions, so we will keep you posted if we hear anything.

She should not refuse those transfusions. This is what I did for 28 years. The people who donate blood are salt of the earth, good folks. Doctors don't order transfusions unless a patient's blood count is well below a healthy level. Those pints are life saving!

The issue is her quality of life... she has been telling us for quite some time now that she is ready to throw in the towel at 92 years old and several very serious health issues. She has pulmonary fibrosis and is on oxygen and can no longer even care for her birds. They have already gone to a rescue facility, I believe. She's actually been on Hospice care for quite a long time now.

Her health is so grave that last week they didn't even pursue further testing to find out where the internal bleeding is happening. Her mental state is also very low and she is definitely in a state of depression to add to everything.

We are very concerned at this point.
