It's my year to declutter

Nothing needs painting right now, thank goodness. I want to repaper the walls of my main bathroom, but that can wait for now.

I decluttered last year, at least as far as ornaments went. I was tired of the "granny" look, too much everywhere. Now I have only a chosen few on view and dusting is much easier! Problem is that we tried to find takers among the family for the ones we didn't want but they'd only take one or two each. Many are too valuable (antiques) to just hand to a charity and I keep thinking that the grandchildren will eventually marry and have homes and partners of their own who just might want a family heirloom. So, in the meantime, they live in a storage room in the basement, all displayed on shelves there and looking lonely.
