Back from holiday in Hampshire
Back from holiday in Hampshire
It was only a week, and I'm fairly quiet, so I won't ask if anyone missed me! As is my wont I've written about on my website at http://www.alofmethbin.com/Articles/Dia ... index.html.

I LOVE reading about your holidays! But, not going to lie - we didn't realize you were gone!

Looks like you had a very interesting time, and the weather looked ok for the time of year!

On the whole, it sounds like you had a nice week's trip, Kickaha.
I went to Portsmith with Dave on my first or second trip to England and toured the Warrior and Victory. We also got to see the Mary Rose, which was in a building being preserved at the time.

We missed out on the Mary Rose so well done Lady K! I've managed to lose the one-year ticket we had to pay for at Portsmouth so if we go again this year I'll have to pay again . . .

Great pics Kickaha! Just back from a long weekend at Stanford in the Western Cape here. As is tradition for years now my family take me away on or near my birthday for a weekend away. Lots of walks, adventures, intermittent showers, laughter, wine, barbeques and great company especially with the grandkids.
I am grateful that I can walk, climb and enjoy all that the young folks do without any aches or pains as a result. Sorry to highjack your page Kickaha but got back just half hour ago and am still grinning.

Is that where you had the wine tasting last year, Val?

Nope RB - that was another venue. Cape Town and surrounds are full of wine estates and all things good. It is truly a beautiful place to live in regardless of the politics that prevail! Would not want to live anywhere else. Place is humming with tourists too what with the dollar/pound/whatever exchange.
Do love my hometown. Will check my pics and see whether any are good enough to share.

It's strange (and wonderful) that you feel this way about South Africa when the SAB could see nothing good in the country at all. Mind you, I think Zuma and Trump would make a wonderful dynamic duo .............. NOT!

Are politicians getting more stupid nowadays? It seems so to me! Bit I don't feel I'm getting any cleverer.

Kickaha, its frightening that someone like Zuma can be President and he seems to be single handedly ruining South Africa. Its just history repeating itself with Mugabe and Zimbabwe, and Moi and Kenya.
And as for Trump, well, words fail me that such a man could maybe one day hold so much power.

I may be taking a holiday next fall... if Trump is elected, Rosaboobie had better ready a cot for me to sleep on!
