Neuro Forte meds
I am desperate for a stock of Benji's Neuro Forte tabs, and I was just wondering if any of you have vet friends who could maybe tell me if these are sold in the U.S. or Canada. They are prohibited from sale in the U.K., hence that is why I am looking to buy elsewhere. I have googled but not found anything.

Can you tell us what the content of the medication is? I might be able to find something that way.

Re: Neuro Forte meds
So it's essentially a "B" multivitamin specifically for his condition.. let me see what I can find.
EDIT: It's called the "vitamin B complex." This is a really interesting article about what it can do. Of to see if I can find a source in the UK.
EDIT 2: You will have to do some digging - the offerings are dizzying. I found that Amazon UK probably had the best selection, but you might be able to find a better source. I did notice that the amounts of each B vitamin in your Kenya brand are staggering in comparison to the recommended amounts for dogs.

No, you wont find a source in the UK - it is not licensed here Drac. My Kenya vet told me this med was essential for Benji's brain damage.
The SAB - South African bitch, oops please excuse my language - promised to send me a years supply but nothing has turned up here - why am I not surprised!

RB, there are hundreds and hundreds of sources for this Vitamin B complex in the UK. Just do a search for Vitamin B complex for dogs.
See my edits above.

As if I would call you that, Val - perish the thought!
Drac, this is what saved him when he was poisoned - these high levels of Vitamin B. I have already asked my local vet and she told me I would not get anything like this in UK. I am really nervous to change his medication to something else, as this particular med is what has worked for him long term.

Yes, I remember this special medication. Those high dosages are not available here either. If it is not sold in those high dosages in the UK, you might have to find one that is as high as you can get it and see how he does on it. Those dosages may have been what got him over the initial poisoning and maybe he can do more of a maintenance dose now? I really have no idea. Maybe talk to your vet and see what she says.

Rosa, look at this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Neurovits-Plus- ... +b1+b6+b12. Seems like it might be a substitute.

Looks like this is for humans, and not for dogs?

The vast majority of these things are interchangeable for humans and dogs. I know a bunch of guys who just went to the local vet when they needed something - much cheaper and the same exact medication. That does look pretty close, but I sure would run it by your vet to be sure. Too much of some vitamins can also be toxic, but I don't know about the B complex.
