My dogs are asking me what this funny white stuff is on the conservatory windows.

Here's what it looks like outside now - heading towards sunset but will be another couple of hours yet! Believe it or not, but we are all looking forward to autumn (fall)! Don't want it to be as cold as you guys though!!!

Bougainvillia - beautiful but a curse when the wind blows a certain direction and the blooms blow into the pool. But giving much needed shade.
Behind the gate, to your left, is a glorious, perfumed frangipani tree which I so wish had been planted in the front garden, but it is right next to the garbage bin! But the fragrance makes up for it!!

I thought maybe it was bougainvillia. I looked up the frangipani tree and it is a beautiful tree - the trunks look as interesting as the leaves and blooms!

Took a couple of pics this evening, but will try tomorrow again to see if lighting is better. Just love this tree!

Val, your beautiful garden has made me envious - that's the only thing I miss about Kenya - my garden with all its beautiful trees and of course the bougainvillia and frangipani.

Ah for sure! Cannot compete with that vista! Can see why you must miss it all RB. Such a different view you have now but still beautiful in other ways.
