I don't know how many of you spend any time over at Gameboomers, but a long-time member there passed away a couple of days ago. Her screen name there was flutist and she was FuzzButt here at MM. Betsy lived in St. Louis only about 45 minutes away from me. We both shared September as a birthday month, so we met every year at our favorite Chinese restaurant in St. Louis for our birthdays. I spent time at her home each time and met all her Corgi dogs and also became friends with her husband Bill.
She was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease which name escapes me right now, but at Christmas she was doing so well, she hoped to play in an upcoming concert after the first of the year.
She was a gentle soul and a wonderful friend and I will miss her very much.
Rest in Peace, Betsy

I'm sorry you've lost your friend, Drac. I didn't really know her, but I'm sure many others here will have memories to share.

Oh, I am so sorry Drac - very very sad news indeed - I never realised flutist and Fuzzbutt were one and the same person.

Yes, she was a lovely lady, Drac, and I feel very sad about her passing.

Thank you for this info Drac. I knew Flutist too and used to talk to her a lot over there and here. I've lost a friend two weeks ago and finding it hard, she was only 49. May they both rest in peace together

Sorry for your loss, StarLite - 49 is indeed very young.
I too have lost two internet friends here in Orkney in the past couple of weeks.
